A long overdue visit to the Delicate Arch in Arches National Park.
Read MoreWe Are Knitters: Acadia Sweater
We Are Knitters sent me a kit from their Spring line named for Maine's National Park: Acadia. Naturally, I was stoked, and the next thing I did, after getting their soft, silky cotton yarn on my knitting needles ASAP, was to plan a trip up the coast to Mount Desert Island, home of the gorgeous, whimsical park. Before I started knitting and photographing my progress for WAK a few months ago, I had never knit a sweater before, and the prospect of it used to terrify me, but their kits come with everything you need, and the pattern, and videos to back it... this is my fifth sweater I've knit in the last six months, and I'm hooked! Hats are still my favorite thing to knit up, but there is something really special about being able to knit up your own clothes. The Acadia is super comfy and I think it will be really fun to wear this spring and summer! Enjoy the photos and check the bottom of this post for a discount code! XX
We Are Knitters provided me the Acadia Kit to photograph and you can use the code GPOWERSWAK to snag your own kit for 15% off!
World Wide Instameet: Acadia National Park
Last weekend Kaleigh, Ella and I headed up to Acadia for the weekend. We explored and hiked up Acadia mountain on our own and then met up with a bunch of instagrammers at Jordan Pond House and scampered about on the trails, Thunderhole and Otter Point. I made a mini video and snapped a few photos, but really enjoyed talking with and getting to know some of the other creatives who came from around New England. That's how we create community right?
