We Are Knitters sent me a kit from their Spring line named for Maine's National Park: Acadia. Naturally, I was stoked, and the next thing I did, after getting their soft, silky cotton yarn on my knitting needles ASAP, was to plan a trip up the coast to Mount Desert Island, home of the gorgeous, whimsical park. Before I started knitting and photographing my progress for WAK a few months ago, I had never knit a sweater before, and the prospect of it used to terrify me, but their kits come with everything you need, and the pattern, and videos to back it... this is my fifth sweater I've knit in the last six months, and I'm hooked! Hats are still my favorite thing to knit up, but there is something really special about being able to knit up your own clothes.
